Are you the sort of person who is committed to helping more people with chiropractic?

Do you find it frustrating that people seem to “get it” early on in care only to drop out before they have the results they need? Do you feel like you’re having to persuade people as to why they need care? Attend the Communicating to Improve Patient Care seminar, presented by Dr Martin Harvey, and you will learn concepts, questions and communication templates to upgrade your communication skills so you can help patients more and help more patients. They are based in the social science literature, are patient-centred and ethical, and are easy and quick to use in a chiropractic practice.

Attendees will learn:

• That improving patient care requires communication strategies based on engagement rather than persuasion.
• A patient-centred model based on uncovering clinical outcomes and goals that are meaningful to the patient.
• Communication strategies that use the impact of the patient’s experience to motivate them to continue their clinical care and home-care.
• Communication approaches to deal with difficult situations such as when a patient feels they are not improving or have had a reaction to care.

Dr Martin Harvey is inspired by the potential that chiropractic care has to transform the health of our communities. He is the immediate Past President of the Australian Spinal Research Foundation, is a sought after speaker and leads a multi-doctor family practice in Melbourne, Australia.

He is an expert in state of the art chiropractic communication strategies and teaches chiropractors around the world how to better communicate the value that chiropractic can have for them. Martin was awarded the Chiropractors Association of Australia (Vic) “Chiropractor of the Year” Award for 2012, Parker Seminars “2010 International Chiropractor of the Year”, and was honored as an inaugural Member of the Australasian College of Chiropractors.
